NASCAR drivers do get a well-deserved off-season. While some fuel themselves up for the upcoming season, there are a few who do not shy away from enjoying the time given to them. Bubba Wallace is certainly one of those who knows how to make the most of his off-season. This also includes online banters and savage replies online to his team members.
While most of the Cup Series racers would have been content with a 10th-place finish, that’s not the case with Wallace. With his sheer competitive nature, the 23X1 Racing’s No.23 driver set the bar a little too high for himself. However, the 30-year-old has now overcome the disappointments of the last season and is indulging in a verbal back-and-forth with his spotter Freddie Kraft.

While Bubba Wallace was keeping his fans updated about his shenanigans during the off-season, his spotter Freddie Kraft also joined him. In a recent post, he wrote about an incident from Wallace’s first NASCAR Cup Series win in 2021. Reminiscing about their maiden win, Kraft wrote, “My vivid memory from the end of this race is wanting to punch Bubba, when we were leading the top line he just decided to get in line behind RSJ in line middle, and we watched the top line drive on by. I guess it worked out alright.”
Wallace was quick to get on his case and dished out a savage reply. He posted a photo next to a caveman’s showpiece that was holding a spear in his hand. He wrote, “You were saying”. This was followed by another banter, Kraft shared a pic of a Steak House with the caption, “Some nights you drink, some nights you eat. Tonight is an eating night lol”. Of course, Wallace had to have his say here too. He replied, “And I bet you still drink more than you eat.”
However, Kraft, this time was prepared with a response of his own and replied with a cryptic image. It seemed like he knew a little secret about Bubba Wallace who then replied again with only emojis “💀💀💀”. Clearly, Wallace was worried about Freddie Kraft getting the better of him so he subdued his antics with the savage replies this time around.

It feels it’s only the off-season where Wallace keeps his cool but when it comes to racing and speaking his mind, he is just as good as his co-owner Denny Hamlin.

NASCAR has seen a whole host of racers from different ethnicities and backgrounds. However, people of color have not been able to have a lasting impact on the racetracks and Bubba Wallace is here to script a story about that particular change. He has not had it easy himself and there have been times when he had to face online abuse and hate for speaking out.
In November he took to X and once again penned his strong opinion and thought. He wrote, “There is only 1 driver from an African American background at the top level of our sport..I am the 1. You’re not gonna stop hearing about the “the black driver” for years. Embrace it, accept it and enjoy the journey.”
