This weekend’s Craftsman Truck Series race at Darlington Raceway provided some exhilarating moments, but it also had its fair share of controversies. One of those controversies involved Rajah Caruth, the 20-year-old driver for GMS Racing, who caused a late caution after turning Carson Hocevar’s No. 42 Niece Motorsports truck around. The incident sparked outrage among NASCAR fans, who took to social media to express their displeasure, with some even reveling in the fact that Hocevar got a “taste of his own medicine” after causing similar incidents in the past.

However, amidst the backlash, Bubba Wallace, a fellow NASCAR driver, stepped up to console Caruth, who was feeling frustrated after the race.

On Friday, May 12th, NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth had an impressive run at the Darlington Raceway, finishing sixth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. However, his race was not without incident. On lap 115, Caruth spun Carson Hocevar, causing a caution and earning the ire of Hocevar’s fans. Despite this setback, Caruth’s impressive performance did not go unnoticed.

Bubba Wallace, a fellow NASCAR driver, was one of the first to console Caruth after the race. In a recent interview, Wallace shared his thoughts on Caruth’s race, saying, “I seen him sitting fourth on the next last restart behind Byron and then I look up and he’s like six and then I went back and watched the replay last night. I don’t know what happened to the 51 there but the next restart he about loses it under Byron and I told him, I’m like ‘Hey man, yeah you’re pissed off, you’re frustrated but the race isn’t over yet like calm down.”

He acknowledged that Caruth made a mistake but also reminded him to keep his cool and focus on finishing the race. Wallace further said, “The race isn’t over yet like calm down. You looked at him last week, he was a super fast truck capable of winning, reminded me a lot of 2013 truck race for me where I spun out underneath Laney, the fastest truck in the field go, it’s just managing your expectations and making sure you finish.”

For many fans, the incident was a case of Hocevar receiving a “taste of his own medicine.” Hocevar has been known to make aggressive moves on the track in the past, and fans were quick to point out that he had been on the receiving end of a similar collision in the past.

“Glad Hocevar is finally on the other end,” said one fan on social media, while another exclaimed, “W Rajah!”

Others took a more mocking tone, with one fan writing, “😂😂😂 CARUTH JUST GOT A NEW FAN!!!! SPIN THAT 42 OUT” and another proclaiming, “And the clown goes around. Heck yeah Rajah.”
