Tyler Reddick is the newest addition to the 23XI Racing crew. And it turns out, he’s already helping Bubba Wallace get better, which could mean a lot to his performance on road courses.
Reddick could be what 23XI Racing needs, especially considering all the praise he has received. Both Bubba Wallace and the boss Denny Hamlin have looked excited about his addition to the fold. In fact, in a recent interview with the QC Hornets’ Nest podcast, Wallace said that Reddick makes him want to work harder.
He said, “I’m excited, man. Tyler motivates me to work even harder. Because, there’s been a lot of races last year where I seen the eight car driving by us and out leading and running well and winning some races, especially on road corse stuff. So excited to finally get to go to work with him, work together and see how we can make this team even better.”

Wallace makes a lot of sense because his biggest weakness the entire 2022 season was road courses. Reddick on the other hand really excels at road courses, getting two of his three wins in 2022 on Road Courses. In fact, Reddick became the first multi-race winner in a season for Richard Childress Racing since Kevin Harvick in 2013.

So maybe they really have the potential to better each other, and Hamlin has complete faith in the duo.
Hamlin believes Bubba Wallace and Reddick will be a potent combo
Denny Hamlin is particularly confident of the duo he has built for 2023, as he talked about just how good the two are. He went as far as to say, “Bubba, just what he’s done over the last half of the year—he’s exceeded my expectations of his talent level.” The 23XI Racing co-owner has no doubt that Bubba will be “in the top 10 once again in points.”

He further added by asserting that, “I expect both of our guys to make the playoffs and I expect both of them to be top 12 in points.” Clearly, there is no lack of confidence in Denny’s tone.
Although it is a pretty well-balanced duo, there’s always the unfamiliarity with a new Toyota car for Reddick on top of being in a new team. But in the long run, Reddick and Wallace could strengthen each other to make 23XI Racing stronger.
