Around 3 years ago, Bubba Wallace opened up about his feud with Alex Bowman in an episode of Dale Jr Download. During his conversation, he explained that hitting a driver on the right rear panel isn’t the best choice on track. He stated; “Right rearing somebody on an oval track – that’s grounds for taking gloves off in the middle of a fight and getting your a** whopped. Am I wrong?”

Furthermore, he explained what exactly pissed him off about Bowman’s actions on track. He continued; “If he would have spun me in the field like left, I think it’d been a little different whatever, lazy spin. (But) right rear driver’s side of the wall ‘Boom!’ I’m pissed!”

However, it seems that Wallace forgot all about it while racing alongside Larson on Sunday. During the race, Larson shoved Wallace inside the wall at a turn. And as a retaliation move, Wallace right-reared the Hendrick Motorsports driver, spinning his car off the field.

Furthermore, the 23XI driver also physically attacked Larson on the field after getting out of his car. This particular move attracted a lot of dissent from the fans and the media. And to clear the air, Wallace posted an apology note on his Twitter feed.

However, to remind the 23XI driver about what he preached around 3 years ago, a NASCAR fan shared a clip of his old interview below this apology Tweet. And as a result, fans filled the comment section with their views on the throwback.

Furthermore, during the entire incident, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell became the collateral damage. Unfortunately, Larson’s wreck collected Bell and he was unable to continue the race. In his response, Wallace apologized to Bell and his team as well.
