Last year, Bubba Wallace emerged victorious at the Kansas race, clinching his second win in the Cup Series as he led the final laps and secured the checkered flag. As we return to the same racetrack this Sunday, expectations are soaring for the 23XI Racing driver to elevate his performance and possibly replicate his previous success.
Furthermore, during a recent press conference, a journalist asked about the influence of Wallace’s victory from the previous year on his personal progress. In response, Wallace shared that he relished the attention and frequent discussions about his achievements. However, he also acknowledged that his past performance at the track held little significance moving forward.

Bubba Wallace enjoys the constant spotlight on him
Answering the journalist’s question, Wallace responded, “I think you put your name in a hat. You stir things up.”
He adds, “It’s good to be who everyone talks about on different occasions, for example, speedways and stuff. Just have to keep it going.”
“Nothing is ever given to you – it doesn’t matter who won here last year or the last race. We’ve got to earn it. We’ve got practice and qualifying today. We have to get dialed through that. Temperatures are really, really hot, so you just have to cross over every box.”
While Wallace remains focused, he surely has the fans behind him to make it count on Sunday.
