It is just a few days until 2022 wraps up, and it is time to look back at how the year has passed by. Looking back at the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, a majority of followers of the sport agree that this was one of the most unpredictable seasons, with multiple race winners.
This in turn, nearly turned the race for the Playoffs into a lottery. Amid all of the races, there were several memorable moments sprinkled across the year, both on and off track. The race was on with both Larson and Wallace battling for position. On Lap 95, Larson pushed up and his car came in contact with that of Wallace, causing him to bounce off the retaining wall. Wallace then intentionally drove down the track and hit Larson in his right rear, resulting in both spinning out of the race. In the process, an innocent Christopher Bell also got tagged, ruining his Playoff chances. However, the worst was yet to come, and it soon unfolded before everyone’s eyes.

How did the Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson incident pan out?
As both drivers clambered out of their cars, it was clear that there was red mist lingering around Wallace. This was because he stormed over to Larson and began showing him and trying to brawl with him. To Larson’s credit, he did not swing back and let Wallace be the aggressor during the whole incident. This eventually turned out to be a good decision, as Wallace got into major trouble.
The officials were not impressed with Wallace’s stunt, slapping him with a one-race ban. As a result, he missed the following race, but it did the trick for him and he returned much calmer and more level-headed. Nevertheless, the brawl went on to become one of the biggest talking points of the season, and Wallace caught a lot of heat from fans.
