Rajah Caruth won the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, signaling an influential moment in NASCAR history. The 21-year-old, Caruth, clinched his first-ever win in the NASCAR Truck Series driving for Spire Motorsports. Following his first career pole earlier in the day, he emerged victorious by a narrow margin of 0.0851 seconds over Tyler Ankrum.

This achievement solidifies Caruth’s promising career and places him alongside Wendell Scott and Bubba Wallace as the third black driver to secure a victory in a national series race. Despite being absent from the race, Bubba Wallace expressed his emotions over Rajah Caruth’s victory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In an interview following the race, Wallace showed joy and pride, stating, “I Facetimed him last night. What a cool moment to see.”

He regretted not being present at the race but emphasized his support for Caruth, saying, “Super proud of him and everything that he has been able to accomplish, you know, everything he is able to do to get to this point.” 

Wallace also highlighted the significance of Caruth’s win, drawing parallels to his own early career experiences, saying, “I can only imagine, you know, that’s 10 years ago or hell, 11 years ago for me getting my first one. And just that feeling, you know, and seeing him, go through it all and being emotional with his family.”

He revealed his mentorship role, recalling moments of guidance and encouragement, stating, “I’ve been hard on him since day one. Super cool to see him win…proud to play a small part in it.” Wallace also discussed Caruth’s growth as a driver, emphasizing the importance of race management and mindset.

Thrilled by #71’s triumph, Kyle Larson expressed his elation, stating, “Oh yeah. Super happy. That was really cool.”

He commended Rajah’s strong start to the season and acknowledged his dedication, remarking, “He had a lot of moments last year where he, you know, had some good runs, and then he did get a win early in the year and all that, especially with hendrickscar.com on his truck for the full season.”

Larson appreciated Rajah Caruth’s work ethic, recalling a moment from Bristol last year when he diligently reviewed race footage, noting, “He was down there in the little cafeteria like watching the replay from the truck race.
