Given the fact that his parents are from Chicago, Kurt has always been a die-hard supporter of the city’s MLB and NFL teams. And though he could not win a Cup race at the Chicagoland Speedway before it ceased its NASCAR operations, he still would want his teammates, Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace, to get to Victory Lane in Chicago.

Moreover, Busch’s analogy of the Chicago race to a trip to Disneyland captures the excitement that surrounds the big event. Like the world-famous amusement park, the Chicago race will be an exciting display of speed, adrenaline, and aggressive bouts for positions. Excitement is in the air as the weekend begins, with spectators, drivers, and teams eagerly awaiting the green flag.

23XI Racing star Bubba Wallace advocates for greater understanding and acceptance of mental health issues in NASCAR. In the video, Wallace argued that opening up about problems is a sign of resilience, not weakness. Outside of our sport, he said, “You know, talking about your issues is a sign of weakness. When, in fact, it’s a fantastic indicator of resilience. Furthermore, there are countless ways to finish last in a race, but only a select few come out on top. Recognizing and accepting defeat is a challenging lesson to master. That’s fine with me because I’ve always believed that success improves everything.”

Busch said that getting help for one’s mental health is important at any time, not just when one is struggling or trying to better oneself. “It could be when you’re doing fine, and you want to improve yourself. Maybe you’re having a hard time and could use some assistance,” he explained.
