NASCAR might be headed to Phoenix Raceway this weekend, but Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 team have their eyes set on the Las Vegas Race. Although we are accustomed to seeing the No. 23 Toyota Camry in the famous McDonald and Money Lion livery, the Pennzoil 400 will mark the return of the US Air Force on Wallace’s race car.
With the brand new United States Airforce scheme, the fans are surely going to have a tough time in identifying the No. 23 car in Vegas. The driver has a long-standing partnership with the Air Force dating back to his racing days at Petty GMS. They did partner with the #23 team last year and Dover, but the driver and the sponsor are taking this partnership to a new level in 2025.
The new livery is inspired by the B-2 Stealth Bomber with no-nonsense paint job. Unlike the rest of the cars that will try to seek attention, the No. 23 will make the most of it in stealth capabilities and make gains on the racetrack. “The No. 23 team is gearing up for flight in Las Vegas. We are bringing stealth speed with Air Force this year in the new B-2 Stealth Bomber inspired scheme.@USAFRecruiting @BubbaWallace.” 23XI Racing shared this update on X.

As soon as the new paint scheme dropped on social media, fans couldn’t contain their excitement to see this collaboration deliver the goods at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “As an Active Duty Air Force Veteran and current Texas Air National Guard member… This paint scheme is AWESOME!” Not just the race fans but even veterans were pleased to see 23XI Racing and Air Force deliver a solid scheme for Bubba Wallace.
Another fan got a little nostalgic and remembered one particular paint job from his RPM days. They said, “I do like the air force paint schemes. I think my favorite is still the Tuskegee Airmen scheme he ran on the 43 car.” It is indeed tough to pick one, but last year’s World War II-inspired theme was also a huge hit among the fans.
Well, some fans poked fun at Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft. The No. 23 Camry wrapped in a stealth livery will not only be hard for the fans to spot but just might a dd trouble to his partner on the roof of the grandstands. “Poor@FreddieKrafton trying to spot this on the track🤣.” Another user with a similar sentiment replied, “@FreddieKraft I’m so sorry.”
Unlike the bold yellow and red bright color of Mcdonald’s, the No. 23 will be wrapped in a rather simplistic and no-nonsense design for the Vegas race. After all, there needs to be some similarities between the race car and the actual B2 bomber, which is known for its stealth capabilities. “This is so subtle but sick at the same time, the scheme captures the beauty of the B2 so well. The US Air Force sponsorship has created some incredible schemes for Bubba.” A fan explained.

Does the B-2 Stealth Bomber-inspired design make Bubba Wallace's car the coolest on the track?

Unfortunately, Bubba Wallace‘s No. 23 won’t be the biggest highlight of the day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Freeman has been linked to NASCAR as his impactful voice helped NASCAR set the stage for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. The veteran actor partnered with FOX for a TV preview of the Great America Race. He narrated, “A coliseum of speed, a ribbon of asphalt wrapped in steel waiting to crown a victor. One hundred thousand voices meet the thunder of engines, a symphony of speed and spectacle. It’s the crucible where nerves are tested and dreams teeter between triumph and disaster.

“At 200 miles per hour, this superspeedway demands everything- precision, courage, instinct. Here, a split-second decision doesn’t just change a race, it changes a legacy. Greats become icons, and the unexpected becomes unforgettable. Now just 200 laps stand between them and racing immortality. Welcome to the great American race.”
The Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube is going to be a star-studded affair, but once the pre-race rituals are done the focus will be back on the race car drivers. Keep an eye out for Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin, they are likely to run well and contest for the win in a week’s time.
