Leaving GMS Racing after the NASCAR Xfinity Series 2020 season, Brett Moffitt has found a drive for 2021. To be precise, he is set to race for the Our Motorsports team in 2021. Nevertheless, Moffitt will leave the Truck Series and move up to the Xfinity Series.

In essence, the 2018 Truck Series Champion will be back in familiar territory. The GMS Racing team also acknowledged Moffitt’s contribution to their own team.

The driver has raced for them in the past 2 years and delivered consecutive 3rd-place finishes. GMS also wished the 23-year-old well for his future endeavors and hoped that he can realize his true potential.

How did Brett Moffitt perform in the 2020 NASCAR season?

Sadly, the 28-year-old could not beat Sheldon Creed to the 2020 title, ending up 3rd. As it turned out, his chances took a massive blow, courtesy of a late-race caution at Phoenix.

Although Moffitt competed in the Xfinity series in 2020 with Our Motorsports, he elected to score points for the Truck Series. Despite that, he performed extremely well, scoring 7 Top-10s and a solitary Top-5 at Talladega.

Moffitt said, 2020 was a learning year for Our Motorsports and the program is now ready to step up to another level. I’m thankful for the last two seasons with GMS Racing and the support Maury Gallagher, Spencer Gallagher, Ron Booth, Mike Beam, and the entire team gave me.”

The Our Motorsports team insisted that Moffitt’s efforts have benefitted them immensely. To be precise, he helped build up the team from scratch and be competitive.

With his influence, the team has transformed into an outfit that is capable of challenging for race wins. Team founder Chris Our also revealed that the team has ‘exciting things’ in-store to help them in their future endeavors.
