Suffice to say that NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin isn’t exactly a Kyle Busch fan. Certainly not after what the Joe Gibbs Racing driver had to say about his ‘uncertain’ future in the scheme of the lack of a major sponsor post M&M’s departure after the current season.

Busch was questioned about his future and the lack of a primary sponsor ahead of the race in Talladega. And it was his response, and the way he responded that really irked Griffin.

In the recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Griffin raised a pretty bold but genuine question – “Who can afford to hire Kyle Busch other than Joe Gibbs Racing?”

He added, “Stewart Haas Racing is the only team looking at Kyle Busch and thinking, ‘Hm, I might want Kyle Busch to come and drive here. I don’t think he fits the Penske mould. I don’t think he’s gonna go back to Hendrick (Motorsports).”

“There’s only a few teams out there that could realistically afford Kyle Busch,” he continued. “There’s only a few teams out there that would give Kyle Busch an opportunity to win.”

“And when he doesn’t win, he acts like a little baby.”

What did Kyle Busch say about his future?

Before the race at Talladega Superspeedway, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver was asked whether any other NASCAR team will sign him up should Joe Gibbs Racing lets him go after this season.

“Probably not,” he said.

While Busch emphasized that he isn’t “getting antsy” about the lack of certainty or a major primary sponsor for the next season, he, in his usual animated mood, described the approach he has in this situation.

“If it happens, it happens. If it don’t, it don’t,” Busch said.
