NASCAR fans just might have found a new favorite driver. Brenden Queen running his debut Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, put on a splendid display of his racing skills, finishing P4. While he did have trouble with the penalty on the pit road, that did not deter him from competing for a strong finish at the end of the race.

Fans were thrilled by “Butterbean” Queen’s performance on the track, so much so that they were on their feet as he rolled the No. 1 Tricon Garage truck on the pit road after the completion of the race. At 26, it’s fair to say that he will need a full-time ride soon, and going by today’s debut run, he just might have convinced one or two team owners to consider him as their next full-time driver.

First off huge thanks to Tricon Garage, everybody at Toyota, TRD, TPC for giving me this chance. Tricon Garage brought a fast fast Best Repair company, leadcars.com Toyota Tundra and I was just a lucky man to drive it.”

Moreover, he was asked about his future plans and the possibility of competing in the Truck Series. Corey Heim has arguably been the best driver in the Craftsman Truck Series 2024. He already has six top-10 finishes, which includes today’s win and the other four top-10 results. The only disappointing run was at Darlington, where he crashed and ended on P28. Despite the constant shuffle in the schedule of the race at North Wilkesboro, Heim was focused on his role and got his No. 11 truck in the victory lane.

Crossing the finish line 2.47 seconds ahead of runner-up Grant Enfinger, Heim has closed the gap down to four points from the leader, Christian Eckes, who ended the race in sixth place. However, given that Brenden Queen was receiving applause from the fans in the stands, Heim kept his post-race interaction pretty short.

“That was crazy, yeah. Crazy weekend with the water and whatnot, but I knew since practice that we had the speed, so can’t say enough about these Tricon Garage guys. I mean, what a truck, what a weekend; we knew all the potential from practice and executed great today, so huge thank you to them.”

The battle between the leading teams and drivers is heating up. Next up on the Truck Series schedule is a trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway. And Heim will have a redemption story lined up in his mind already after last year’s runner-up finish.
