On Sunday, there was a controversial incident in the IMSA race at Road Atlanta. As it turned out, Ricky Taylor pulled off a blatant corner cut on the final lap of the race. However, in the end, Action Express’ Felipe Nasr and Pipo Derani took the title. In the wake of the incident, Chase Briscoe tweeted about the incident. He wondered whether Taylor received a penalty for getting pushed off and cutting the corner.
This is because Briscoe was himself involved in a similar incident with Denny Hamlin. Apparently, the Stewart-Haas driver clipped the back of the Joe Gibbs driver and sent him spinning off. Obviously, he was furious, since he was in a great position to potentially win the race.
Of course, the irony was not lost on Brandon Brown, who took to Twitter to post GIF about it.

What next for Chase Briscoe and Brandon Brown?
Admittedly, their 2021 campaigns were not overly spectacular, though Brown enjoyed a maiden Xfinity victory. Nevertheless, the two of them will be looking forward to the 2022 Xfinity and Cup seasons. For Brandon Brown, he will be keen to get a drive for the new season and try to prove his mettle. Meanwhile, Briscoe is sticking with Stewart-Haas Racing for the second season in the #14 car.
In 2021, the SHR team did not enjoy a great campaign. So, they will be hoping to mount a stronger challenge, and Kevin Harvick will be hoping for some backup. Last year, it was Harvick who shouldered the SHR burden and single-handedly carried the team across the line. Aric Almirola helped out a little, but the team needs to bounce back hard.
