In the buildup to the cutoff race at the Roval, the big talking point was the track changes. As it turns out, the section with Turns 5, 6, and 7 was altered, to the point where Turn 7 is a lot tighter. Looking at it, it is almost like a hairpin, which promises a lot of dive-bombing action. Unfortunately, Brad Keselowski’s RFK driver, Chris Buescher, has not taken a liking to that.
CMS president Greg Walter promised that this track would provide more overtaking action. However, Denny Hamlin was of the opinion that there was more scope for mayhem instead of overtaking. Considering how Buescher spun out at Turn 7 during the race, #17 is more than likely to side with Hamlin.

How bad is the race going for Brad Keselowski’s driver?
The spin was very costly and it dropped him all the way down in the rankings. Frankly, it was not a good look for the driver who won the last road course race at Watkins Glen. The driver who caused his misfortune was the Spire Motorsports driver, Carson Hocevar, and the #17 driver was not at all pleased with Hocevar’s antics.
🗣️ “What a stupid f*cking idea […] it’s a joke out here,” a clearly frustrated @Chris_Buescher says after getting spun in the new Turn 7.
