While NASCAR driver and owner Brad Keselowski is testing the Next Gen car at Charlotte, his brother Brian Keselowski posted devastating news. Brian posted a message on Twitter in which he described the state of health of their father, Bob Keselowski.

The message read, “It is with profound sadness and a broken heart to inform everyone that my dad, Bob Keselowski is nearing the end of his amazing, fast paced life. He has battled Cancer for the past 2 years and he fought the good fight as hard as he could. Unfortunately, there isn’t much more fight left so my family and I are preparing ourselves and making sure dad is not in any pain until his time comes. Please say a prayer and keep us in your thoughts during this very difficult time.”

A few weeks ago, the NASCAR driver had posted about his father on Twitter. Keselowski described how his father’s friends had built a ramp at his house for his ease.

He wrote, “It’s said that tough times don’t last but tough people do. Perhaps the same can be said for good family friends.”

Brad Keselowski has racing in his DNA

While his son Brad is a NASCAR Cup Series winner, Robert Keselowski has also been a NASCAR driver for many seasons. The senior Keselowski competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from 1995 to 1999.

In fact, he was one of the original drivers in the NASCAR SuperTruck Series, which is now known as the Camping World Truck Series.

He had 12 finishes inside the Top 10 and one race win at Richmond Raceway.
