At the Darlington Raceway, Brad Keselowski is expected to run a throwback livery scheme. This particular livery will pay tribute to former NASCAR driver Mark Martin. Martin was a long-time driver for the Roush Fenway Racing team, so it wasn’t surprising that Keselowski wanted to pay tribute to the driver who had raced for the team for 19 years.
Although he never won the Cup Series title, he finished as the runner-up on four occasions with the outfit. Aside from that, he finished in the Top 5 on 12 occasions, including seven Top 5 finishes in a row. This occurred from 1993 and 1999, with runner-up finishes in 1994 and 1998.
Over the years the No. 6 has had many great drivers, including @markmartin. I’m excited to honor Mark this year by running his 2004 paint scheme at Darlington.
Thanks for the opportunity @SociosMS 😊👍🏼 pic.twitter.com/DxaE0p2q4F

Considering that Martin was hugely successful for the team, co-owner Brad Keselowski wanted to acknowledge it. The #6 driver knows quite a lot about racing for one team for a long time, as he spent 12 years with Team Penske. This particular paint scheme that Keselowski will use is from the 2004 season when Mark Martin finished 4th.

How has Brad Keselowski performed in the 2022 Cup Series season?
Admittedly, the Michigan native has pretty much annoyed a large majority of the field. This is because he has been the instigator in a number of crashes. He only managed to survive one of them, when he finished 9th at the 2022 Daytona 500.
For his own sake and that of his team, Brad Keselowski needs to ease up on the aggression. This is because the Next Gen cars have a limited supply of spare parts. So, he cannot afford to tear up these cars too often. To make matters worse, there could also be the risk of other drivers trying to mete out some justice and wreck him. No driver is above trying to get revenge, and this year has seen a couple of examples.
