Ford experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows this season. Their contrasting fortunes are a testament to the unpredictability of NASCAR. While some teams managed to recover from the struggles of the first half of the season, others simply couldn’t. According to an eminent NASCAR insider, RFK Racing’s resurgence was brought forth in a big way thanks to Brad Keselowski. As far as Tony Stewart is concerned, he will want to forget about this year’s Cup Series.
When Brad Keselowski joined RFK Racing a couple of years ago as a driver and co-owner, many people did not know what to expect. The team had been in a slump for several years, and Keselowski leaving Team Penske for them dumbfounded some. However, as time has passed, people have started to see just how big of an impact the former Cup Series champion has had.

The 2023 Cup Series season was crucial for RFK Racing. Despite not even being consistently competitive in years past, the team earned three wins, including a 1-2 finish at Daytona. They also got both of their drivers in the playoffs, one of whom made it as far as the round of 8. Comparing that to Stewart-Haas Racing’s winless season, Tony Stewart’s organization has not even come close.
According to NASCAR insider Rick Allen, at a time when Ford was misfiring and one of their biggest teams failed to get the job done, Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing stepped up. They carried the team towards the end of the regular season with multiple race wins. Tony Stewart, on the other hand, had to contend with near-misses at the best of times.
“I think that whole organization really, as I said before about Ford and struggling, I think that whole organization lifted Ford up. I think Ford was struggling; obviously, Stewart-Haas Racing never won a race this year. That’s 15 years that they had been part of an organization that had won races, but they didn’t win. I think RFK took that manufacturer and said, “You know what? We’ll make the best of whatever it is,” and I think that is Brad’s mentality,” Rick Allen said on a recent episode of Cup Connection.
Brad Keselowski might not have won a race this season, but Allen believes that the 2012 Cup Series champion isn’t far off from that objective. Small changes like making a shop a cleaner and more modern environment to work in lifted employees’ spirits, as per the NASCAR insider, who expects to see Keselowski back on Victory Lane pretty soon.
“He took that kind of mentality of and “we’re going to win races,” and he convinced the people that work on these cars, he convinced them that that’s going to happen. And it did for Chris Buescher, and I think it’s just around the corner for Brad, but I was pleasantly surprised, and I’m now convinced we’ll see Brad back in Victory Lane, probably in 2024,” Allen added.

RFK Racing’s on-track achievements made Brad Keselowski a happy man, but back home, there was an even bigger cause for celebration. The 39-year-old had revealed earlier this year that he and his wife were expecting their third child. The 2012 Cup Series champion recently gave the world the first pictures of their baby boy, Maize.
