In 1971, when passengers took an aircraft from Portland to Seattle, they never imagined becoming part of one of the FBI’s greatest unsolved mysteries. A man named D. B. Cooper hijacked their plane for an exorbitant ransom amount. He later jumped off with a parachute and disappeared into thin air. The authorities could not track him or discover any information about him. Now, a crucial aspect of the case resurfaced on social media.

Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell came across the original ticket of an actual hijacked passenger. He met a woman whose father traveled on the Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 on 24th November. She revealed her father sat with the offender prior to the hijack, a recollection that could only haunt him and his fellow passengers. Rovell shared the exchange and posted pictures of the ticket on his social media page.

Among the millions of people stunned by this post was this season’s playoff contender Brad Keselowski. The #6 driver qualified for the next round after a consistent performance in the first three races. The ace racer took some time off the intense playoff battle to explore the curious labyrinth of social media. When he came across the ticket, he couldn’t help commenting on the horror and enigma associated with it.

Unsurprisingly, the owner of RFK Racing wasn’t alone in his astonishment.

Although the FBI was convinced Cooper died because of the jump, private investigators felt otherwise and were convinced of his unscathed survival. The intricate planning and nuances of the case became a source of debate and discussion and even found a place in pop culture through comics, film, and music. Naturally, such an intrinsic detail about the case was bound to fire up the comment section that was joined by Keselowski.
