The drama unfolded during Stage 2, around the 180th lap, when NASCAR officials issued a caution due to a lack of lighting in Turns 3 and 4. Even as electricians scrambled to fix the issue, the drivers had different opinions on whether the race should continue under the dim conditions. The darkness might’ve been there, but the sparks indeed flew on the radio!

Brad Keselowski, no stranger to passionate outbursts, took to his radio in evident frustration, questioning the decision-making process: “What are we doing here, TJ?” His spotter, TJ Majors, could only reply, “They’re gonna red flag it.” But it was the RFK driver’s jab at the star of Rick Hendrick-Kyle Larson, referencing #5 of Larson’s dirt track experience, that had ears perking up: “The 5?? 90% of the dirt tracks he runs at have less lights than that!”
