The first season of Netflix’s NASCAR: Full Speed was a massive success, as it achieved a high viewership number in several countries outside of the states. However, former Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski believes that the show has yet to utilize the full potential of the drivers’ personalities. This is exciting news for fans of the show to hear. Not a lot of drivers were used in the first season and there could be numerous future superstars of the show owing to their personalities.
Lot going on in NASCAR, says Brad Keselowski
According to a recent report by Sportsnaut, the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver said that there was a lot going on in NASCAR at the moment. Changes are on the horizon with the TV revenue-sharing deal and it could be the reason why. Regardless, this would be a prime opportunity for Netflix to jump in with their cameras and record some marvelous behind-the-scenes content.

“Just more personalities in our sport. We have a lot of characters and we haven’t scratched the surface on all of them yet,” the driver of the #6 said, while adding, “There is a lot going on in our sport. If you have an open mind, and your eyes are wide open, there is a lot of things that are compelling to talk about and that an audience would find engaging.”
Denny Hamlin thinks a second season of NASCAR Full Speed should be technology focused while Brad Keselowski says there are no shortage of stories in the garage.

The veteran race car driver also believes that season 2 of NASCAR: Full Speed has the potential to be even better than the first. That might seem like a long shot to some people, but when it comes to stock car racing, you never know what’s going to happen. And this is exactly what the RFK team owner reiterated.

The past several years have been hard for NASCAR in terms of viewership, and the whole Netflix docu-drama is one of the most ambitious projects that they have undertaken to help with that. The quality must remain consistent and as per Brad Keselowski, the show can only get better from this point.
“The sky is the limit, and I would hate to say the show should focus on one thing and not the other because I like it all. I hope our sport is able to have that opportunity to spotlight all of those things over time,” he added.
It’s safe to say that there will be a lot of expectations for Netflix and the team when the time comes for the second season to be released. While Keselowski believes there is enough good content for it to surpass the first season, it’s still up to the makers to do a good job with it.
