Adding the Brasil Sprint Race Series to its growing list of ventures this season, there were even speculations of NASCAR breaching international borders in the coming years. While the motorsports community eagerly waits for any official announcements from NASCAR?s end, Brad Keselowski feels NASCAR’s tremendous Chicago success may be the perfect root for international expansion plans.

Speaking to Bob Pockrass, Keselowski felt NASCAR?s Chicago success would open up doors to international opportunities. ?I think the biggest thing for me is last week opens up international more than anything else. I don?t see doing that type of event in another place in the United States. But internationally, it probably opens some things up. If we were to go race internationally specifically in a different continent, I think we?d prove that there?s an opportunity to that,??said the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion.

Listening to the RFK Racing co-owner, Bob Pockrass wondered what would be the right way to ship the Next-Gen car overseas. Questioning Brad Keselowski, Bob Pockrass said, ?Can they just ship parts and pieces overseas and we?d all send like three or four people?and just assemble the cars rather than assemble them over here and shipping them completely??

?I guess I never thought of that. I don?t know if it would be any cheaper to do that. I would assume it would be cheaper to build the cars here and ship it over there but that?s quite a bit further ahead of me as far as thinking is concerned. I haven?t gotten that far,? Keselowski answered.?

The Fox Sports NASCAR reporter further added, ?Well, I mean just thinking the feasibility of it??

As F1 teams are known for racing in different parts of the globe, the RFK Racing co-owner answered Bob Pockrass? question by outlining the difference between NASCAR and F1?s schedule. ?I think there?s some pretty high feasibility that we can embrace in Europe or somewhere else and pull it off. It’s not gonna be easy. You look at the Formula 1 guys typically when they do that, they have breaks in their schedule and they run less races. The bigger challenge is for the people that it is I think for the cars,? Keselowski said.

Posting his interview with the 2012 Sprint Cup champion on Twitter, Bob Pockrass received a plethora of mixed reactions from fans.

Reacting to the interaction between Brad Keselowski and Bob Pockrass, Twitter fans filled up the comments on Pockrass? post. One fan raised the age-old argument of NASCAR steering away from its roots, saying, ?Bob do we really want to veer too far from our NASCAR base. What happens if we continue and alienate the foundation of fans and the new fans their trying to attract say no we don?t want it. Then the old fans get pissed and the result is a negative.?

Another fan went ahead making a monetary comparison between NASCAR and F1, commenting, ?It?s not possible , NASCAR doesn?t have the same logistical prowess and aptitude that F1 has, and more importantly they don?t have the same $$$?.
