It was in 1602 when the opening lines from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night were first enacted: “If music be the food of love, play on.” Love and music have always been inseparable. But what significance does it hold in the world of NASCAR? Well, the answer is pretty simple, and it can be found in Pitbull’s new album.

Pitbull is set to drop his new album, Trackhouse, later this year. The album is the namesake of his own Cup Series team, Trackhouse Racing, which he co-owns with Justin Marks.

In a recent revelation, Trackhouse Racing Team posted a video on Twitter, “You’ve never seen a music video quite like this. JUMPIN feat. @pitbull and @LilJon.” Mr. Worldwide chose his own team as the premise of his upcoming album.

In the music video, the crew members, along with the fans, are seen having the time of their life. The video also features Daniel Suarez’s #99 Chevrolet. The car is seen sporting an all-new livery, also portraying Pitbull’s image, and will be seen in Sunday’s race at the Dover International Speedway. Needless to say, TRT fans are ecstatic with the new marketing strategy that the team has come up with. They actively posted their reaction on Twitter and Reddit.

While some applauded the unique strategy of the team, others drew a comparison with 23XI Racing. Michael Jordan’s team once featured in a Post Malone music video titled Motley Crew. Even Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin were a part of the music video. Someone wrote on Reddit, “Better than Post Malone’s Motely Crew with 23XI.”

Another wrote, “Trackhouse markets NASCAR better than NASCAR does. I wish the France family could get with the times.”

It is not new for Trackhouse to liaison with famous personalities from outside of the racing world. They had signed up with Dana White back in 2022. Dana White, the president of UFC, was invited to the group as part of a marketing partnership.

As reported by NASCAR, Pitbull maintains that the video is not a publicity stunt. Talking about their thought process behind the video, he said, “In no way, shape, or form is this some kind of publicity stunt.

“This is real.

This is all about our stories coming together, and that’s why the fans love it. This right here is about making history, it’s generational, it’s about creating a legacy, having won doing it with entertainment.”

TRT co-owner Justin Marks too talked about the new video’s significance, saying, “So really it’s a creative collaboration, and it’s an alignment in stories. It’s given [Trackhouse Racing] an opportunity to have a partner that’s very creative and has very different life experience and seeing the world through a different lens. But at the same time, sees the same opportunity.

Though Pitbull fans eagerly await the album, set to be released in July, currently, the more anticipated event is Sunday’s race at Dover. The car may have grabbed the attention of the NASCAR community, but will Suarez be able to live up to the hype? While his teammate Ross Chastain stands 2nd in the points table, Suarez is struggling at the 17th spot—not to mention the recent $50,000 fine he was slapped with by the governing body.
