Earlier, another piece of the NASCAR 2021 puzzle fell into place. To be precise, the Front Row Motorsports team recruited Anthony Alfredo to race for them. Driving alongside him is veteran driver, Michael McDowell. Recently, Alfredo spoke about the recruitment and the promotion to the Cup Series.

In conversation with SiriusXM Radio, he said, “Definitely trying to weight out all our options. This was the best opportunity that presented itself. I’m just thankful that we were able to make the most of it. Definitely grateful to everyone at Front Row Motorsports, who made the move all come together.”

What else did Anthony Alfredo say?

He acknowledged that there are different opportunities for him to narrow down. Alfredo also declared that it is truly incredible to earn a chance at the highest echelon of NASCAR on a full-time basis. Owing to this, he is truly excited to race in the Daytona 500 in the coming month.

Racing in crown jewel events is practically a dream come true for him. As a first generation racer, he grew up as a NASCAR fan. This is why he has a different perspective and different appreciation. Owing to this, it is a truly humbling experience for Anthony Alfredo.

Admittedly, the 21-year old has not won a single Xfinity or Truck race yet. However he is still young and there is plenty of time for ‘Fast Pasta’ to mature and gain more experience. Of course, the other more seasoned drivers will not make things easy for him. In addition to that, the Front Row Motorsports team is hardly a front-running team. However, he will be keen to prove his mettle in his debut Cup season.
