Las Vegas got Alex Bowman his first win of the 2022 season. Although it was under a caution flag, a win is a win. And Kyle Busch was anything but happy. The 2-time Cup Series champion had a pretty major radio rant, but this time the fans were supporting Busch, even though Bowman did nothing wrong.

But first, let’s find out what happened.

With Busch as the leader and 6 laps to go, cars behind the #18 had a wreck, bringing out a yellow flag. And this is when Bowman lucked out, as he charged to his first win of the season. Obviously, Busch was pretty angry at what happened as he ranted, “The same f*cking guy who backs into every f*cking win that he ever f*cking gets backs into another f*cking win. Bullsh*t!”

Kyle was far from happy. Luckily, everything got sorted out later as Bowman revealed, “Everything’s good, everything’s fine. He was just mad to lose the race. I totally understand that. I didn’t do anything to him besides take the race away. I don’t think there’s an issue between him and I.”

In fact, he even justified the two-time Cup Series Champion as he then added, “Obviously, Kyle’s really passionate. We’ve seen that from him for a long time, and I was in the fire on that one, but he basically just said he was mad about losing the race and didn’t mean to be so disrespectful to me.”

Of course, it seems like they’re good friends now and had everything sorted out. But the only reason Bowman is in the playoffs is because of the win at Las Vegas. And the fans noted that, as they believe Busch could replace Alex for the #48 because they feel he isn’t deserving to drive the Hendrick Motorsports car.

Busch joining Hendrick is farfetched, and possibly unlikely. Because the only two cars available that are not on an extended contract are the #5 and #48. But both of them have contracts that go through 2023. Moreover, Kyle Larson’s performance might secure him a contract after 2023 too. Although Bowman’s #48 is still in question, Busch might want to stick to Toyota Racing Development because of Kyle Busch Motorsports.
