As the new Minions movie has come out, one Twitter user has possibly made the funniest observation yet. He stated that Chase Elliott’s points lead has apparently quadrupled since the release of the film.
Chase Elliott has been previously been labeled as the “Mickey Mouse” of NASCAR by certain fan bases, mostly due to his on-track antics. But Minions seem to be a new addition to the roster of names given to Elliott.

Even though there seems to be no relationship between the film, Minions: The Rise of Gru, and Chase Elliott’s points tally, it sure was a light-hearted and fun observation from the fan.
What is a Mickey Mouse Win and why do some people label Chase Elliott as such?
A Mickey Mouse win basically refers to somebody winning something with not much effort. The term is mostly used by non-Elliott fans who call out his wins to be too easy to be classified as competition.

Even back in 2018 when Elliott won his first race in the cup series at Watkins Glen, he was branded as Mickey Mouse, after Martin Truex Jr who was chasing behind him managed to run out of fuel, giving Elliott a free ticket to the chequered flag.
NASCAR fans called this victory a Mickey Mouse win, looking back at the past when Elliott dumped Ty Dillon into the tire barrier at the final turn during the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park race to claim his first “Mickey Mouse” win at the Truck Series.

As it seems that whenever Chase Elliott wins nowadays, he is christened with that mockery of a name. People just choose to ignore that the man has talent or race craft.
The hammer always seems to fall on him. Even recently, back at Pocono when Denny Hamlin & Kyle Busch were disqualified, and he got the win instead, many fans took to social media to slander him with the Disney character’s name, even though he had nothing to do with how the final result panned out.
