One of the historic NASCAR teams in Richard Childress Racing will be looking to make an even better impact in 2021. To do that, drivers Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick would have to be on top of their game for most of their races.
By their recent standards, 2020 turned out to be a good season. But going that extra mile in the upcoming campaign will be high on the minds of both drivers.
Dillon stated, “I want to do more and more road racing. I’ve got millions of laps in a dirt car and millions of laps in an oval car, but not in road-course races. That comfort of being around other cars is being better. My confidence is higher.”

Can’t wait to race in the Busch Clash, says an excited Austin Dillon
“I can’t wait to race Tuesday night in the (Busch) Clash. That’ll be a fun one… We’re taking it as a test session and are really focused on being aggressive with the adjustments on the car and how I drive in that race.”
Considering it was Tyler’s rookie season, the 25-year-old came through for the team with some excellent results. As the 2021 Daytona 500 fast approaches, his initial approach will be to better his strategy in the races.
Reddick stated his own thoughts and said, “Each race, you’re going to have something that’s your biggest struggle.”

“Just trying to get across that better, with a better head or maybe with a better strategy – whatever it might be, we’ve been looking at it and just trying to be more aware of that as an issue, how we can prepare better for it, how we can handle it better,” concluded Reddick.
Dillon in particular will want to take his 2020 form heading into the new season. He had an outstanding season, winning the race at Texas and also making the Playoffs’ Round of 12.
