The 2024 season was not very eventful for Austin Cindric. While he bagged one victory at the World Wide Technology Raceway in Jube, ahead of Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski, it did not add up to much. Although his performance did not attract much rave reviews, that is certainly not the same for his looks. Recently, the North Carolina native surprised his fans when he shared a picture with a stache. He changed his profile picture with an image where he has the stache.
It had attracted quite positive reviews from fans and most of them had showered love on his good looks. His appearance also kind of made him look like Dale Earnhardt Sr or the Intimidator, rightfully pointed out by fellow NASCAR driver, Chase Briscoe. However, while fans had thought that he would be keeping up with the mustache for a longer period, or most importantly the entire 2025 season, Cindric posted in X, “Did it for the memes and a new profile pic. The reviews were highly entertaining. Happy to have my face back”.
In this post, he has brought forth a series of pictures and videos that showcase how he is getting rid of the mustache and his new look, which gives him a fresh and young persona. He looks quite energetic in the post as well and could easily pass off as a 24-year-old.

Fans lament the loss of Austin Cindric’s mustache
Getting back to the original look has not been particularly eventful for several fans, While most fans had approved of his look with the stache, taking it off so early has disappointed them. Taking to the post, most fans commented that Austin Cindric had not made the right decision and that his stache added to the charm and made him look different. Speaking of how Cindric should have given this look a little bit of time, probably a season at the most, a fan commented, “You were pulling it off I thought you were going all season with it”.
Another fan took to the post how he was ecstatic after seeing the stache and had even bought Cindric’s merchandise in support. Cindric has his very own line of merchandise and it is widely popular. Citing the same, a fan wrote, “Austin I literally bought 2 merch after I saw the stache. Not anymore”. Most fans have been disappointed with Ciindric’s move, particularly because it was short-lived and made Cindric look different. Pointing out the same, the fan commented, “Noooo. Should have kept it”.

While most fans were disappointed due to the short nature tenure of the stache, a fan had a unique idea that could help him make a fashion statement. Given how most of the drivers of the current lot do not have a prominent stache to showcase, a fan suggested, “Honestly? I wish the stache’ stayed, especially if nobody-major was racing in the Cup w/ a stache. Could have been a statement this year…”. The sentiment that Cindric was being able to sport the look resonated with the audience widely. Another fan also sided with the same notion and said, “You should have kept it my man!!”.
The overwhelming fan reaction underscores how impactful even a small personal style change can be for public figures like Cindric. While his mustache may have been short-lived, it clearly left a lasting impression, sparking conversations about individuality and making bold choices. Nevertheless, he could make up for his looks with an outstanding performance on the tracks. Cindric will be next seen hitting the Daytona International Speedway. Before the same, he will be appearing at the Rolex 24, driving the No.64 Ford Mustang.
