“Better than me in every aspect of the game,” That’s what Novak Djokovic had to say about a certain Spaniard on the tennis court. It wasn’t Rafael Nadal, but Djokovic talking about Carlos Alcaraz after losing the Wimbledon 2024 trophy to him. He’s fast and he’s strong, but can he perform in the high-stakes world of racing?

Carlos Alcaraz is in Charlotte to play an exhibition match against Frances Tiafoe. Before hitting the tennis court, the Spaniard visited the NASCAR Cup Series racetrack, one of the city’s most important locations and to experience speed differently, Alcaraz got into one of the ‘stock cars.’
In an Instagram video by team Hendrick Motorsports, we can see a pit crew showing Alcaraz how to do pit crew work. Team Hendrick captioned the post saying, “@carlitosalcarazz Hendrick Motorsports pit crew.” As a member of the Hendrick team explained to Alcaraz how the jack worked, most fans expected him to take several tries to get the hang of it. After all, lifting a car with a jack is no easy feat. However, Alcaraz took to it like a pro.
He put the jack in place and lifted the car with ease. One must not forget that in addition to being a Wimbledon champion, Alcaraz is also one of the strongest players in the tennis circuit. Earlier this year, at the 2024 US Open, he hit forehand shots with

During a NASCAR event in Charlotte four days ago, Carlos Alcaraz shared his excitement with fans on social media. The tennis sensation expressed gratitude to Team Hendrick and Charlotte Motor Speedway for giving him the opportunity to experience high-octane racing. Posting photos and videos from the event, Alcaraz captioned, “Great day in Charlotte! Can’t wait for the Charlotte Invitational tomorrow!” Hendrick Motorsports had also shown gratitude towards the tennis champion’s visit in another Instagram post. The post captioned, “When champions collide! Thanks for hanging out with us.“
However, the event didn’t exactly go his way. Of the two exhibition events he was supposed to play in the US, Alcaraz won the first against Ben Shelton in New York. However, his bout against American star Francis Tiafoe went poorly. However, Alcaraz didn’t let the loss unsettle him, going on to make a beautiful gesture for one of the 16,200 spectators in the crowd. Footage from after the match showed Alcaraz taking a moment to sign the cap for a young fan before exiting the stadium.
The tennis star continues to enjoy moments off the court, seamlessly blending his athletic pursuits with his love of other sports. Currently ranked third, the Spaniard defeated Tallon Griekspoor in the Davis Cup Rubber 2 on the 19th of November.
