CARS tour has been gaining prominence over the years. It gained even more of a reputation lately after Dale Earnhardt Jr got in one of the cars to race at the revived North Wilkesboro earlier in 2022. The premier late-model racing series is now receiving a massive update ahead of the commencement of the 2023 season. NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin recently shared the news regarding the series via his social media. Praising the effort undertaken by a few of NASCAR’s iconic drivers.

A few days ago it was announced that the CARS tour series would be moved under its new owners ahead of the new season. But who are the new owners? Well, it turns out the group comprises former revered NASCAR drivers paired with some current ones. To name them, Dale Earnhardt Jr was of course one of the people at the helm of the ship. Furthermore, there is Jeff Burton, along with Stewart Haas driver, Kevin Harvick, and Trackhouse Racing owner, Justin Marks.

Recently, Denny Hamlin reshared a tweet from NASCAR saying, “The future of Short tracks and Late Model Stocks all got a little brighter today. Congrats guys.” Soon fans chimed in with their thoughts regarding the latest development.

Fans agreed with Hamlin about how this was a great thing for the future of the racing series.

People were excited at the latest development. Moreover, one fan even went ahead as far as to suggest that one-day late model series’ like this could end up as the top class of motorsport in America. Though it’s a far-fetched thought, they definitely aren’t wrong about NASCAR slowly killing off short tracks and ovals. Moreover, with the CARS tour these abandoned short tracks would be able to get back to some racing action.

Hamlin sure seems excited about the prospect of this series. However, it still remains to see if he would be inclined to participate in the series himself. Maybe, not while still racing in NASCAR. However, there certainly is a possibility for him to maybe field his own cars in the series and race them after his retirement from NASCAR. But the future will remain speculative regarding this subject.
