As the calendar rolls down toward the start of the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 season, everyone has been keeping tabs on when the liveries for teams will launch. Meanwhile, Hendrick Motorsports has decided not to keep us waiting for long. Recently, they launched the NAPA auto parts livery for Chase Elliott‘s car. However, at first look, it may seem as if they just repurposed last year’s livery. But of course, there are some minor adjustments. Soon, fans over social media started speaking out and sharing their thoughts about the 2023 paint scheme. For some, it was a hit or a miss.
Elliott has had a long-standing relationship with NAPA Auto Parts, a leading supplier of automotive parts and accessories. The brand has been the primary sponsor of Elliott since all the way back in 2014 when he raced in the Xfinity Series. They remained with him as the primary sponsor all the way into his Cup Series career as well.

The sponsorship has been a mutually beneficial partnership for both NAPA and Elliott. NAPA has been able to use Elliott’s popularity and on-track success to promote its brand and products, while Elliott has been able to secure the necessary funding to compete at the highest level of NASCAR.
NASCAR fans react to the launch of the 2023 livery
Fans displayed a mixed array of reactions toward the new paint scheme. Some of them critiqued the details of the cars, calling out the usage of too much white. Meanwhile, the others called it to very similar to last year’s paint scheme.

But overall, most of the Elliott fans did like the paint job for the 2023 season.
HMS puts more white on cars than any other team👎🏼

It’s ok. I just do not understand the recent fascination with white base paint schemes. They are so boring. White isn’t even a color. It’s the absence of color.

Loving the yellow 9 on the roof 🔥

I don’t like how it looks like rookie stripes on the rear bumper, and it's even more blue like his rookie car was. But, it's still good looking

It is as hot looking as the guy that drives it ! This baby will look hot in victory lane !

The way they used the blue here is very esthetically pleasing

After finishing the last season in fourth place, Elliott would be on the hunt for striving better results this year around. We hope with the hype behind his new livery; he is able to bring his A-game to the track when the season begins. Hopefully, this year we might see him win more and more races than last year. Probably even get into the hunt for his second championship title. Things look exciting for the road ahead.
