The most awaited day that marks the beginning of the Daytona 500 race for NASCAR fans has arrived. But it seems that a lot of excitement of the loyal fans has been in vain because of a particular aspect of the broadcast. Looks like the fans are not happy with the telecast of the race.
Infuriated NASCAR fans took to Twitter to express their betrayed emotions. NASCAR on NBC posted on Twitter, “@NASCAR IS BACK, BABY! The 65th #Daytona500 and 75th season are underway!” But the fans were not happy at all. They have been complaining about the number of commercials shown before the race and then during the race itself. The telecast did not reflect what NASCAR had promised and what the fans had been expecting.

So there weren’t many commercials during the race today, huh?
— Couch Racer (@CouchRacerShop) February 20, 2023
Are you fucking kidding me? This is actually less than 10 laps per commercial

Like Joe just said 2+ hours of behind schedule pre race, you ran 9 laps, went to commercial and came back at lap 21. SHOW THE DAMN RACE!!!!!!! And now another advert. Time to shut it off and do something productive people. This whole thing is one big advertisment ploy……….

Really, knock it off with all the friggin commercials or at least do side by side.

I just hope NBC doesn't show more commercials than racing like @NASCARONFOX is doing.#DAYTONA500

Stop cutting away to things other than the race. Do that under caution. Go through a commercial to immediately a cut away about grip, watch 5 laps and then another commercial.

Too many commercials and 7 caution laps for no reason. Sorry but I tried to watch. Just not anything to hold my interest

Some say that winning the Daytona 500 has also to do with a lot of luck as much as it has to do with hard work. This year’s Cup Series season has surprisingly started well for some race drivers but has also proven unfortunate for a few. Let’s wait and see if there is a reversal of fortunes in the next race.
