As the playoffs inch closer and closer, each regular seasonal race is like the toss of a coin. Nobody can predict the outcome. Even the drivers who were lagging behind the cut line are climbing up the ladder and getting on the verge of making it out of the bubble. With just three races to go, two road courses, and a Superspeedway. the suspense is just off the charts.
With one poor performance, a driver can lose as many as 30 points. However, the opposite is possible as well. And it just happened for a Trackhouse Racing Team driver after the race at Michigan International Speedway.

In one scenario, we could see Shane Van Gisbergen live up to the expectations that his team has of him. In another scenario, Chase Elliott could regain his aura and dominate everyone running on a road course race. So, in a gist, anything can happen at this point. While the Daytona International Speedway race is a wildcard for everyone, there is some serious competition out there for the road courses.
In light of this, when Pockrass asked Daniel Suarez, with fan favorites like Elliott struggling, what he felt about the upcoming races, Suarez explained, “You have to also keep in mind that you have two road courses coming in the next couple weeks and you have a superspeedway so, anything can happen.”
He said, “Obviously, I came here in the track of Michigan to win the race but the main goal was to have a good execution race and a good momentum heading to Indianapolis where we know that we’re gonna be competing for the win.”
“I think the main thing for us today was to get back into a rhythm because the last couple weeks have been pretty rough to us and we’re much better team than running and qualifying 30th,” he admitted.

People in the community have often considered the number 99 driver as mediocre. Throwback to 2018, Suarez was chucked out of Joe Gibbs racing after the second season. Although he was signed by Stewart-Haas Racing after a long gap of 4 months, SHR told him in November 2019 that they would not have him for 2020. He then joined hands with Gaunt Brothers Racing. However, he missed the Daytona 500 and struggled in the driver standings, and eventually finished 31st.
