The current season has been a roller coaster ride for African American driver, Bubba Wallace. He started strong, performing exceptionally well during the initial half of the season. However, he is now struggling to maintain good performance and qualify for the playoffs. Not only that, but he has managed to get himself into a pickle a few times this season, just because of his on-track antics.

Bubba Wallace’s reputation for bitter and straightforward responses has occasionally led fans to make some harsh comments about him. He has even been involved in several fights during his career, with one incident involving Kyle Larson becoming widely known.

This year, he was engaged in a heated conversation with Aric Almirola and had a wreck with Ryan Blaney earlier in the season. Safe to say, these incidents didn’t help Bubba become a fan favorite.

Bubba Wallace hater shares a heart whelming story

On a recent Instagram post, in which Wallace had shared some photos from NHMS, he received a comment from a fan named Joshua Jacobsen. In his comment, Joshua shared a touching story that touched the hearts of many.

His comment read, “I gotta say I was on the Bubba Wallace hate train and then this year at Sonoma in a crowd of booing fans I witnessed @bubbawallace walk through and give every little kid and fan a chance for a photo and autograph all while people were being rude to him. I realized there’s nothing to hate him for. So I had to get a picture with him and he earned my respect. Hoping you get a win this weekend!”

After making some significant mistakes in the past five races, this time around, Bubba Wallace and his team encountered brake failure at NHMS. Nevertheless, Bubba managed to secure an impressive P8 finish, thereby improving his overall standings.

After the New Hampshire race, Bubba Wallace finds himself within the playoffs bubble, holding 433 points. However, it’s a challenging task for him to maintain his position, as AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Suarez, and Michael McDowell are all separated by just one point from each other, vying for the 15th and 16th spots on the playoffs list.

While good performance is crucial, it may not be sufficient to secure their place. Hence, it was only natural when Bubba expressed the team’s desire to win.

In an interview with NASCAR, Bubba said, “We want to win. We know we have to win. We can’t point our way into a championship, so we need to win. We need to win early enough to lock ourselves in. If we can’t do that, it would be unfortunate, but we have to point our way, too. Mistakes don’t create points, so we have to eliminate mistakes to get points”

However, if winning becomes unattainable, they will have to rely on points. Do you think relying on points is the way to go?
