Sadly, at the moment, the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series drivers have nothing to do except twiddle their thumbs. This is because the heavy rain forecast threw a spanner in the works and jeopardized the schedule. Aside from the Cup and Xfinity races being postponed, many other events have been put on hold. Among them are the various celebrity appearances, which included Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and DJ Khaled.
Some sound advice for the NASCAR drivers
Recently, the rapper spoke to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio in Daytona. Khaled’s role was to be the honorary starter for the iconic race. Unfortunately, the presence of the rain has put that to a halt, and he confessed that he couldn’t wait until Monday. He told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, “The mindset of winning. You know. I love Gatorade. And I just did a beautiful collaboration with Gatorade. I was sitting there, and I was explaining to them.”

Could be a doctor or musician. I think we all have the mindset of winning. That’s what it is about, winning. When I say ‘winning’, happiness, joy, family—that’s true success.”

Of course, one cannot expect DJ Khaled to achieve similar success, if he does manage to get a NASCAR team ownership. However, the sport is no stranger to celebrity owners. After all, Floyd Mayweather is the owner of The Money Team Racing. Additionally, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson almost became a NASCAR team owner, once upon a time.
