The 2020 season has not been great for the NASCAR teams. Last month, Leavine Family Racing was sold to Spire Motorsports. Now, there are rumors that the Germain Racing team is also on the verge of leaving NASCAR.
GEICO’s sponsorship deal with the group ends after the 2020 season. The sponsorship advanced from 2008 in the Xfinity Series. GEICO is one of NASCAR’s main sponsors among others.
Germain Racing appeared in the Cup Series in 2009 with Max Papis running an incomplete timetable. In 2010, Papis and Casey Mears ran most of the period. Ty Dillon joined the group in 2017. His best profession finish is fourth at the July 2019 Daytona race with the group. Dillon is 27th in the Championship table this season. He will be racing in Sunday’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Through 415 races in 12 years, NASCAR team Germain Racing has recorded only two top-five finishes. The team has only 11 top-10 finishes.
In 26 starts this season, Dillon has the best completion of tenth in the second race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He has an average completion of 22.4.
Bob Pockrass released a statement on Twitter from the Germain Racing team. It states the NASCAR team’s plan for the 2021 season.

Darlington marks the start of NASCAR playoffs
The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs start on Sunday with the Cook Out Southern 500 at the Darlington Raceway.

William Byron won the Regular-Season finale at Daytona to secure a seat in the playoffs. 11 drivers were able to secure their seats in the playoffs by winning races, while 5 drivers got the seat by points.
