After his rookie season in NASCAR’s top-tier promotion went awfully off the rails, Cup Series outcast and former Kyle Busch Motorsports driver is looking to make a stellar comeback. The 2-time Cup Series champion, whose former driver was in the middle of controversy a couple of months ago, is planning to make a solid return, entering his first-ever “World’s fastest half-mile” since his iconic victory in 2017.

All eyes were on Jimmie Johnson‘s rookie sensation, the #42 driver. The 25-year-old, who was coming off of a successful Xfinity Series campaign, seemingly carried the momentum in his rookie season in the Cup Series. However, things went for a toss quickly when the driver walked himself into the line of fire after he was suspended indefinitely following his social media activity.

While the disciplinary action shook up the youngster, NASCAR nation is awaiting his grand return at the 0.5-mile short track in Virginia amidst the Stewart-Haas Racing rumors.

Former Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Noah Gragson and his possible comeback race

From his infamous altercation with the ever-polarizing Ross Chastain at Kansas Speedway to his run-in with NASCAR, Noah Gragson has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. While the driver’s on-track altercations have caught the attention of the racing community, his sketchy social media activity got him a stiff suspension from the promotion.

Gragson was also evicted from the seat of his #42 Legacy Motor Club Chevy after team officials decided to let him go. With his dream rookie season ruined in a quick and terrible turn of events, it looked like it was the end of the road for the 25-year-old until rumors about a possible SHR partnership made the news.

Gragson is planning to make major strides as he enters the 52nd iteration of the Winchester 400. Presented by Vore’s Welding and Steel at the steeply banked Winchester Speedway on October 15th. The Las Vegas native will be racing for Kasey Jones Racing, making his first appearance in the 400-lap race after his monumental win in 2017 with KBM.

Much like Gragson, Stewart-Haas Racing was the center of attention in NASCAR’s silly season. NASCAR great Tony Stewart and his men found a worthy replacement for the outgoing veteran, Kevin Harvick, in the #4 Ford. However, everything is not settled; as per sources, SHR will have to find another driver to pilot the #10 car of Aric Almirola, who is still keeping the suspense about his future.

Despite being ousted from LMC by the great Jimmie Johnson, Gragson’s ballsy attitude and outspoken ways have captivated the community. According to NASCAR enthusiast and Fox Sports reporter, Bob Pockrass, the 25-year-old is a solid candidate that SHR has zeroed in on for the #10 car.

Speaking on the DBC podcast, he said, “I think Noah Gragson is certainly a candidate for it, you know. He sounds like he’s talked to several teams over the last month. And it sounds like some things have gotten close and then don’t happen. And is that because other teams have started coming in, or, you know, teams are having second thoughts, or they’re still trying to figure out funding? I am not sure which. But certainly, he has become a candidate for that ride.”
