Over the years, NASCAR has constantly put in efforts to excite its loyal fan base by incorporating new tracks, be it dirt, or modern road courses. Unfortunately, the NASCAR fraternity seems timid about the organization’s ventures! After the notorious dirt race in Bristol earned a bad name for the sport, fans suggest the exclusion of another iconic track.

Recently fans expressed their dislike for bringing the Cup Series to LA Memorial Coliseum! While the organization looks to excite the fans, the fans seem to reject the idea.

While the organization hoped to thrill the fans by adding a short track, it seems that the decision has backfired. With the fandom divided over the track, old-school NASCAR fans clearly want the quarter-mile to be excluded.

Why do fans dislike the LA track despite The Coliseum being an iconic venue?

Initially, the opening race was held at Daytona International Speedway but was later moved to LA Memorial Coliseum in 2022. Ever since the shift, the NASCAR community, including the driver, has opposed the venue.

As part of the launch of the modern chassis in the seventh generation racecars, NASCAR eyed a grand ceremony to unveil these machines while starting off the season. With major updates, the track was actually shortened and it left the fans baffled as they lost yet another race track owing to rather awkward amendments from the organization.

Speaking about recent events, die-hard fans did not hesitate to show their displeasure with the track as part of a live online poll conducted in the popular podcast.

The team was brilliant enough to include other venues that have garnered the community’s hate, including the Bristol Motor Speedway, Indy Road course, and the new Chicago road course.

Despite the sanctioning body’s effort to add a punch to the event earlier last year. The commencement ceremony was nothing short of agony for the fans, with the artists lip-syncing and giving rather dull performances.

Fans vote for the exclusion of Clash at the Coliseum!

Reacting to the tweet, many fans tuned into the poll while some even mentioned their dislikes among the 4 tracks, retweeting and commenting on the post. While most of them wrote about shifting the venue, some even suggested dropping all 4!

“Get rid of all of them”

While one suggested, “ALL 4 can go!! If NASCAR wants to run dirt races and road courses let them start their own series. The same goes for street racing. Rather than spending million + on the clash put the money into improving an older track.”

While others wrote these, “The Clash!! Gotta Go!!”

“The clash should return to Daytona international speedway, Bristol dirt should be replaced with a traditional dirt track , road America needs to return to the Nascar cup series schedule and the brickyard 400 needs to return to the oval”

“So how do we fix this? Let us begin class, first off, Clash back at Daytona, only pole winner’s, unrestricted. Auto club back Race 2. Race at the perfectly good Chicago oval in the summer. Bristol Asphalt/Concrete. Go to a real dirt track. And finally Indy Oval. Class dismissed.”“For me the Clash. It is silly to make the teams go to a crap little stadium track on the West coast, go to Daytona and go right back to the west coast for 3 weeks. This is a southern sport and 4 of the first 5 weeks are spent out west. Weather I know.”
