Ty Gibbs has often been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. His tendency to wreck and win with a cheeky smug on his face is only making him more and more unpopular by every passing day. During the race at Martinsville on Saturday, Gibbs decided to punt and wreck his own teammate to clench the chequered flag. He was subsequently greeted by a horde of boos headed his way.
The online fan community absolutely lost it on Gibbs, especially since he does things like this all the time and his apologies mean nothing. Following the rage behind Ty, NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin sent out a one-liner tweet, taking a subtle hint at JGR’s current management. In his tweet, Hamlin said, “I miss J.D” He was referring to the late J.D Gibbs, the son of Joe Gibbs who used to call the shots at JGR when he was alive. Moreover, many argue that during his time leading the team, the organization gelled better with each other and rarely had issues.
JGR has been going through a lot of Turmoil, ever since Kyle Busch decided he had enough of their false promises and jumped ship to rival RCR. And now the Joe Gibbs grandson is on his way to cause further havoc in the already conflicted team’s life.
Fans react to Denny Hamlin’s dig at JGR
Denny Hamlin’s tweet was well received by the fans and they also took out their rage over JGR under his tweet.
One fan suggested that Hamlin should leave the shrewd organization that is JGR just like Kyle Busch did before it is way too late.
I have always said Gibbs never seemed the same since J.D. The driver, and sponsor turnovers, ie. @mattkenseth @Daniel_SuarezG and @Erik_Jones being fed to the wolves. Inability to find sponsors for @KyleBusch@TyGibbs being able to act/drive as he does.
Never under J.D's watch

While many continue to crucify Ty Gibbs for his actions against his own teammate in order to selfishly win his own race, quite a few ask whether Denny Hamlin should continue to field the intentional wrecker in the #45 car in the Cup Series.
