Celebrated for their audacious maneuvers and breakneck speeds, NASCAR drivers consistently amaze their fans. However, these talented racers occasionally exhibit a sarcastic or even pessimistic attitude when interacting with the media. This contradictory behavior intrigues and baffles some, while some remain captivated by their candid insights into various topics. Take, for instance, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson.
Recently, Larson found himself in the spotlight when he candidly shared his opinion on dirt racing at Bristol. Soon, his comments were under fire from a few fans who did not like his negative response.

During a media interaction ahead of the Bristol race, Larson was asked about his thoughts on whether NASCAR should continue to hold dirt races in Bristol. He told Frontstrech’s Dalton Hopkins, “I think we all really enjoy the concrete surface here at Bristol. So I think the crowd’s typically bigger, it seems like at this point now, for the concrete stuff.
“So yeah, I mean, I don’t know, it’s up to the series and the promoters. But I would love to get back to run two races on the concrete here.”
He was then asked which dirt track would he want to go to. Larson replied, “None. None… We don’t need to be racing on dirt.”
"We don't need to be racing on dirt."

However, quite a few fans were open to moving the dirt race to some other venue, as was suggested by Joey Logano recently.
The CUP and Trucks are not designed for dirt. Would be nice to take this Bristol Race and run it at Rockingham or North Wilkesboro.

Though in minority, a few fans expressed their support for Larson’s argument.
