Recently, Clint Bowyer announced that he is looking to hang his helmet and gloves from full-time NASCAR racing at the end of the season. However, the 41-year-old will still be in the NASCAR scene as he is expected to take up a commentary role.
In the wake of these developments, the Stewart-Haas Racing co-founder, Tony Stewart, spoke about his driver. He said, “When it came time to find someone to take the seat of the #14 car, I didn’t have to look far.
“I knew when my head and my heart wanted that transition and to who. Clint [Bowyer] has always had that magnetic personality. I think he can walk into a funeral and in five minutes, turn it into a comedy show.”

According to Stewart, it did not matter what Bowyer said, but he always commanded attention. He also said that people love Bowyer because ‘what you see is what you get’ with the Kansas native.
Stewart further elaborated that no matter what Bowyer does, it is always fun. He boldly declared that if people are still hesitant to be a fan, Clint Bowyer will help them become his fans.

The 49-year-old insisted that no matter what happened on the racetrack, Bowyer would always be there to entertain. Now, Bowyer will have a chance to take his entertainment skills to another level in the commentary booth.
“I want to thank every owner who has paid a bill on my behalf, every crew member who has turned a bolt on my cars and every media member who has covered my racing career,” Bowyer said.
“Thank you to every sponsor that has invested in me and thank you to every fan who has cheered me along the way.”

Of course, Bowyer’s departure will leave the #14 Stewart-Haas car without a driver; however, there are chances that his successor could be Chase Briscoe, who is looking to take the next step up from the Xfinity series.
