Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet recently lifted the curtain on the 2024 expanded schedule for their High Limit Sprint Car Racing series. Earlier this year, they took the reins of the All-Star Circuit of Champions from Tony Stewart, and with this change, they’ve spiced up their racing calendar with an additional 49 races. Many of these new additions are marquee events, plucked from the schedules of the ASCoC or the Outlaws. In a touching nod to the past, the All-Star Circuit of Champions took to Twitter to tip their hats to Tony Stewart, acknowledging his legacy.

The Outlaws’ engines will roar to life on February 7, 2024, at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Not to be outdone, High Limit will flag off its season a week later, on February 12, at East Bay Raceway Park, on the other side of Florida in Tampa. It’s shaping up to be an adrenaline-pumping year for sprint car racing enthusiasts!

Back in October 2023, the racing world buzzed with news that the High Limit Sprint Car Series, helmed by Kyle Larson and his brother-in-law Brad Sweet, had taken the baton from the All-Star Circuit of Champions. Tony Stewart, a household name in sprint car racing, has been at the helm of the ASCoC since 2015. Under his stewardship, sprint car racing soared to new heights. Kyle Larson himself tipped his hat to Stewart’s contributions, saying in a press release, “Sprint Car racing is in a better place today because of the contributions Tony has made, including his ownership of the All-Stars.”

Fast forward to now, and the All-Star Circuit of Champions is tipping its hat to Stewart. Just today, they took to Twitter to celebrate the 2023 season and stroll down memory lane, reminiscing about nine seasons under Stewart’s wing. Their tweet was a heartfelt thanks: “Tonight we honor and celebrate 2023 and remember the last nine seasons under @TonyStewart. Thank you to @the_Rocket_11 and Brandi for the amazing trophies, centerpieces, and champion banners! You both rock!”

The All-Star Circuit of Champions, which first revved up in 1970, hit a speed bump in 1973 due to the oil crisis. It wasn’t until 2002, under Guy Webb’s leadership, that the engines roared back to life. Then, in January 2015, Tony Stewart took the wheel, steering the series to some of its most thrilling races.

With Kyle Larson now in the driver’s seat, the series is shifting gears. And that’s why the team is probably thanking Tony Stewart for laying the solid groundwork before ramping up to an impressive 60 races across 36 tracks in 19 states. Larson and Sweet together also raised the bar with a jaw-dropping $4 million purse, amping up the excitement for racers and fans alike.

Moreover, echoing their successful 2023 season, High Limit Racing is reviving the Midweek Money Series as part of the national tour, with a tantalizing $100,000 total point fund that’s sure to draw competitors like moths to a flame. Adding to the buzz, several big names like Kasey Kahne, Justin Peck, and Jacob Allen are joining the fray, and another name has been whispered to join the 2024 High Limit Sprint Car Racing Series, potentially shaping up to be a season for the books!
