Bubba Wallace is also competing for a championship despite not being in the playoffs

The 23XI Racing team made the playoffs with the #45 car by winning the race at Kansas Speedway this year in May. Kurt Busch took the victory lane for the 23XI’s #45, and in the same race, Wallace finished in the top ten.

However, Busch had to give up his place in the NASCAR playoffs because of his concussion. This left the #45 car stranded.

But a few days ahead of the first race of playoffs, the Michael Jordan & Denny Hamlin racing team announced that Bubba Wallace will be taking the wheel of #45 for the owner’s championship battle.
