In the recent press release, Larson said, “I can’t explain how much this opportunity means. The chance to compete for the top team and best sponsors in racing is something every driver dreams about. I’m humbled to have incredible people in my corner and amazing support from so many fans.”
Rick Hendrick, the owner of Hendrick Motorsports and chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group, said, “When Kyle joined our team, the expectations were sky high from both inside and outside the organization. To say he’s exceeded them would be an understatement,”
“Not only has Kyle proven himself as a champion driver, he’s performed at a championship level outside of the race car. We’re proud to continue our relationship and to see him represent our team and our brands in such positive ways. The years to come are very bright.” Hendrick added.
This announcement led to a series of speculation about the sponsorship deal of the #5 driver of Hendrick Motorsports.
Kyle Larson is still with HendrickCars
The #5 driver’s first championship victory came in 2021 when HMS signed him after his 2020 suspension. Since then, the 30-year-old proved to be profitable for Hendrick’s team by winning 10 races and the Cup Series title.
This led to concerns among fans about the old sponsorship deal with the #5 driver with Hendricks. However, NASCAR fans had the right justification on Twitter.

He does have a sponsor. HendrickCars. Rick even said that sponsorship was successful for business. If it’s making him money why not kee doing it?

To back up what Kenny said. Rick also said there’s definitely more offers and interest to sponsor Kyle but wanted to keep Hendrickcars the primary pic.twitter.com/dm3JoFGP1o

He doesn't need to
HendrickCars has earned more money and increased in value ever since HMS signed Larson
Basically, Hendrick is gaining money by sponsoring Larson himself

Hendrick doesn’t want the sponsors at the moment. Kyle has people who want to sponsor him. But having Hendrick cars on the 5 has brought in more profit. Also he’s honoring Ricky as well. Nothing to do with lack of sponsors.
