Behind the Hendrick Motorsports duo, AJ Allmendinger might have been disappointed that he didn’t have any popcorn with him. This was because the HMS civil war was entertaining. When Allmendinger spoke about the spat, he quipped, “The truth? I could give a cr*p what they have to talk about.”

In a post-race interview, he further said, “Finishing second sucks, let’s get that straight but when it’s to Kyle Larson, I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, he is the most badass driver on the planet right now.”

He confessed that he ‘could give a cr*p’ about the warring Hendrick duo. According to Allmendinger, he does not have to be in a Hendrick Motorsports meeting with them, so it is none of his business. All in all, he did not care if they had to talk to each other. At the end of the day, track position is really important, especially when two are pretty even in pace.

AJ Allmendinger believed that if he could have passed Larson on the restart, he could have won the race. It was always going to be a fight to nail the restart because, with even cars, it was difficult to overtake.
