The Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson incident at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been a major talking point in NASCAR at the moment. Moreover, as news emerged confirming Wallace’s penalty awarded by NASCAR, fans of the sport criticized the sports officials for showcasing double standards when it came to penalizing other drivers who did similar things.

Well-known NASCAR journalist, Bob Pockrass stated, “Bubba Wallace has been suspended for the Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the incident with Kyle Larson. It’s a one-race suspension; no fine nor points penalty.“
This was due to arrive, after the severe backlash from the sports community. However, what irked them further was that it was just one single race ban. For the severity of his actions, the man was not given any points duck or fine. This sure does seem to be a massive open display of NASCAR’s hypocrisy in delivering punishments.
NASCAR fans call out the hypocrisy in this Bubba Wallace decision
Obviously, the fans were only angered more after the announcement of just a single-race ban. On the other hand, drivers such as William Byron were handed out massive fines and drivers such as Kevin Harvick were dealt harshly for speaking against the oppressive and tone-deaf nature of NASCAR.
Fans questioned NASCAR’s morality in this instance and asked if they would ever be fair in their judgment. They accused the organization of being highly inconsistent and that they were constantly breaking precedent.
So Noah gonna get a suspension? What about Byron? Or is it completely random?
Where’s the consistency?

Shame on NASCAR for once again being inconsistent and breaking precedent.

Should have been a fine and owner points deducted along with the suspension

My ? There was multiple infractions per @nascar rules , intentionally wrecking someone and pushing a official ,plus trying to start a altercation with Larson ,so why just 1race suspended and no fines or points taking away ?

Not tough enough, Bob! If NASCAR truly wants to stop things like this, a $1m fine and 3 race suspension would send the appropriate message.
