The abbreviated races, crashes, and some unusual incidents on Sunday made for one delicious dish that left everyone wanting more. NASCAR Race Hub’s ‘RADIOACTIVE’ video recapping the exciting events at Atlanta Motor Speedway was recently released by NASCAR on their YouTube channel. Everyone involved in the video was aware of the timer ticking but had no idea when it would end, which increased the suspense of the events.

In order to avoid falling behind, drivers couldn’t afford to waste laps, idling. However, one of the things that stood out was the response of Erik Jones’ spotter when Kyle Larson apparently exploded out of nowhere.

Was It Erik Jones Who Wrecked Kyle Larson?

Larson, who was racing just outside the Top 10, lost control of the car on lap 93 after receiving contact from behind by Erik Jones. Looking at the big picture, though, it’s impossible to say whether Kyle Larson lost control of the automobile or whether the contact with Erik Jones’ vehicle caused the accident.

Here, take a look at the altercation between Larson and Jimmie Johnson’s driver.

However, it’s not wrong to say that the Hendrick Motorsports driver lost control and spun off, aided in part by Erik Jones. Erik Jones’s spotter, Rick Carelli, was overheard stating in the RADIOACTIVE video, “That’s what he gets for blocking late.
As soon as Erik Jones heard this, he didn’t waste any time defending himself.

He said, “I mean, #5 was wrecked before I even touched him.

Not to mention, the defense could also have been an attempt to deflect Rick Hendrick‘s anger, something that Ross Chastain experienced for wrecking Kyle Larson for the third time in four races.

Evidently, he was unwilling to accept responsibility for spoiling the HMS superstar’s day. “I think Kyle [Larson] got up in front of me, and I let him up, and he got loose. As soon as he got loose, I just got into the back of him,” Jones said after the race.

In addition, he reiterated that the HMS driver had lost control at that point; by then, he was already on his side, and Jones couldn’t slow down enough to give him more control.

Amidst all the commotion, another event that caught the attention of viewers was when the #23 driver vented his anger on the track. The 23XI Racing driver, Bubba Wallace, was overheard voicing his displeasure with the NASCAR authorities over the radio.

In a flared temper, he exclaimed, “Open the f**king pits. It’s not raining. They are just waiting for it to f**king rain.
It seemed like Wallace was not pleased with the way NASCAR officials were managing the race.

We understand Wallace’s frustration, but we think NASCAR did a good job of handling the situation. When bad weather poses a safety risk, NASCAR follows established procedures and postpones or delays races. And so was done. What are your thoughts about the same?
