Although it was supposed to be a part-time gig, it looks like Stewart has gotten comfortable.
Stewart Haas Racing will be splitting next year, with Tony walking away and Gene continuing in the sport. Tony Stewart is making some bold moves in his life. From quitting NASCAR to becoming a father. However, it came as a shock to the world when he announced that he would be shutting down the Tony Stewart Foundation.
In an official message, Tony Stewart stated, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of The Tony Stewart Foundation. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of our journey.”
The foundation was established in 2003, and for over 2 decades, they have helped support many organizations that stood by their cause. So when a foundation that has changed the lives of many children, animals, and drivers plans on shutting down, it is an emotional stress.
In the closing statements from Stewart, he stated, “We have enjoyed every minute of working with these wonderful organizations to deliver vital services to children, animals, and injured race car drivers. It has been an honor to see the positive changes and smiles these efforts have brought to communities far and wide.”
