After Kim Kardashian Breakup, Pete Davidson Is Named “Mr Steal Your Girl” by Denny Hamlin Amid Daytona 500 Antics

In a recent episode of his podcast show, Actions Detrimental, Denny Hamlin applauded how NASCAR managed to make the entire Daytona 500 weekend a massive event in terms of the number of people that were there. But along with that, along with the fans, there were a lot of high-profile celebrities who were also in attendance.

And one, in particular, attracted a mention from Hamlin as well as a bunch of NASCAR fans.

It was Pete Davidson, the former SNL member, actor, and standup comedian who is frequently in the news for his personal life. The 23XI Racing co-owner described Pete using a couple of interesting phrases, which make all the more sense considering Davidson confirmed the rumors of who he is dating next after his breakup with Kim Kardashian.

Denny Hamlin pulls Pete Davidson’s leg with a couple of hilarious taunts

Hamlin patted NASCAR’s back for doing the “great job” they did for getting the entire place a sold-out race with great vibes and “tons of celebrities” over the weekend. He then proceeded to mention Davidson, in a pretty funny way.

“Hold Your Girl Tight Pete Davidson was there, Mr. Steal Your Girl,” Hamlin said during the podcast.

As he said this, his co-host, Jared Allen, pointed out how Davidson was sporting a very “incognito” look. But the irony of that, which Hamlin also agreed with, was that he was anything but what he was trying to appear.

“I feel like the more incognito you look, the less incognito you look,” his co-host said of Davidson, to which the #11 driver replied, “Yeah, exactly. It’s like, ‘Hey, I’m trying to look lowkey…,'”, to which Allen added, “…but I’m actually looking very high key.”

In an Instagram post by Joe Gibbs Racing, Pete Davidson is seen wearing a Martin Truex Jr Bass Pro Shops jacket with the caption, “Pete’s a true Martin Truex Jr. fan!”

However, this opinion wasn’t shared by a majority of the NASCAR fans who all thought the comedian didn’t even have an idea of who Truex is, and that he was simply wearing it as a casual fan.

One fan wrote, “He has no idea who’s jacket that is,” while another wrote, “More like a free jacket or borrowed because he likes the colors.” 

Another fan pointed out,“I guarantee Pete has no idea who MTJ is.” This seemed to be the common thread in all these reactions as another reaction from a fan read, “Highly doubtful he even knows who Martin is. Someone gave him this jacket for free.”

But without a doubt, the funniest reaction was, “Pete heard Martin was single now.”
