Brad Keselowski’s real prize was the presence of his daughters, which was a constant reminder for Keselowski that family is what matters most in the end, both on track and off track. In a heart-to-heart conversation with FOX’s Bob Pockrass, Keselowski shares the importance of creating lasting memories with his children.
Keselowski expresses a deep desire to leave a legacy for his children, one that they will look back on and smile at even after he is gone, “My youngest or oldest daughter is eight years old. And she’s old enough that I think she’s going to remember that, you know, like a core memory that she carries when she gets older. My second child, Autumn, she’s four. She’s probably not going to remember. And my son, Mays, he’s six months. He’s definitely not going to remember.”
The Darlington winner continued that he is happy that at least one of his children will be able to remember his iconic win, “I’m glad for her, for Scarlett, that she’ll have that core memory. And I hope that’s something that she remembers about our family and her dad long after I’m gone.”
Keselowski highlights the love and dedication he has for his children as he strives to create a legacy for them to cherish in the future, something he had with his own father when he was a child.

Brad Keselowski reminisces about a memory from his childhood—a memory that revolves around his father and their passion for racing. Keselowski shared the story of how sad he was feeling when he missed his father’s win at Richmond back in 1997: “when I was a kid, my dad was a race car driver. And he won his last race in 1997 at Richmond in the truck series. And I remember where I was. I was in my grandma’s house because we couldn’t go to the race. School had just started” he stated.
He also recalled his father’s last win, for which he was present at the trackside. It was an emotional experience for Keselowski, and now he wants to create the same with his own children. “I also remember the last win I was at. I was a really young kid. I think it was 1993 when my dad had won an ARCA race, and I was there. And I remember just that feeling of just pure joy and excitement.”
