There are seven races left in the season, and Chase Elliott is still sitting outside the playoff bubble, short of 60 points. Well, everyone knows his ability to tackle better in these intense circumstances, but this time it would be difficult for him as other teams and drivers have been doing relatively well.

However, many NASCAR enthusiasts, including Todd Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr., trust Chase Elliott’s potential. Dale Jr. believes Elliott would need nine points in every upcoming race to qualify for the playoffs. He also shared about the discussion he had with Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte at the Atlanta booth. Moreover, Earnhardt warned the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro driver about his previous mistake in Atlanta, where he lost five points, so Dale warned, “I don’t think he can have another flat week like he did this past weekend in Atlanta.”

After this Chase Elliott shared a tweet announcing his future plans for Late Model car racing, which divided NASCAR fans and caused them to express their feelings.

Chase Elliott unveils his future venture in Late-Model Racing

Chase Elliott is set to compete in the Super Late Model race at Berlin Raceway on August 9, 2023. More so, Josh Berry and Erik Jones will join Chase Elliott’s company.

Notably, Elliott is no stranger to Berlin Raceway and late models. He is a two-time winner of the Snowball Derby, one of the most prestigious Super Late Model races in the country. In fact, He has made five career starts at Berlin Raceway, with his most recent start coming during the 2015 Battle at Berlin.

Once again, Chase is making his way back to late-model racing. He shared a tweet featuring his number 9 Late model Car and captioned it, “Getting back in the Super Late Model for the Battle at Berlin on August 9th”

This announcement gathered mixed reactions from fans, some appreciated his plans while others criticized it.

Chase Elliott is struggling to make his place into playoffs due to his missed races throughout the season because of a tibia fracture and a suspension. Fans criticized his future move and advised him to focus on Cup races. While many appreciated his plan and showed interest to watch those races too.
